Within the framework of the joint applied project “Application of Key Technologies for Climate-Adapted, Carbon-Free Buildings Along the Silk Road”, the Rector of Samarkand State University, Scientist of the Republic of Uzbekistan and member of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, Rustam Khalmuradov, received a delegation from the Xi’an University of Architecture and Technology (China) led by Vice-President for Research, Professor Yanfeng Liu.

During the meeting, it was noted that strong partnership ties have been established between the two universities, and joint projects are already underway. Representatives from both sides emphasized the necessity of further developing this long-standing cooperation, particularly in implementing large-scale, long-term research projects in the field of engineering.

Rector Rustam Khalmuradov proposed the establishment of a scientific center at SamSU focused on “Green Construction” and “Green Energy”, integrating both educational and research activities. This proposal was warmly supported by the participants of the meeting.
