The Faculty of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Technologies is a modern educational hub dedicated to training highly qualified, competitive specialists through the seamless integration of science, innovation, and education. The faculty was reorganized in 2025 on the basis of the Faculty of Intellectual Systems and Computer Technologies to meet the demands of the modern digital era. Its origins date back to the Faculty of Applied Mathematics, which began its activities in 1972.
To date, the faculty has produced more than 2,000 graduates, with over 1,700 of them working effectively in various sectors of the national economy. Among the alumni are 20 Doctors of Science (DSc) and nearly 50 Doctors of Philosophy (PhD).
Currently, the faculty trains personnel in 5 undergraduate (Bachelor’s), 6 graduate (Master's), and 4 doctoral (PhD/DSc) programs.

Departments and Faculty Staff:
The faculty comprises 4 departments: “Artificial Intelligence and Information Systems”, “Mathematical Modeling”, “Control Theory and Information Security”, and “Software Engineering”. The teaching staff includes 8 Professors, 25 Associate Professors, 2 Senior Lecturers, and 20 Assistants.
To ensure a modern educational process, the faculty operates 4 scientific and practical laboratories in Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, Mathematical Modeling, and Robotics. Furthermore, startup projects of students and young researchers are supported through the IT-Innovation Center and the “SamIT” private enterprise.
Infrastructure and Environment:
To foster an innovative environment, hackathons, programming competitions, and national projects like “One Million Coders” are organized monthly. The educational process is conducted in 8 computer labs equipped with 180 computers and 30 technically advanced classrooms.
Scientific Schools:
The faculty hosts scientific schools in Information Security, Artificial Intelligence, Software Development, and Mathematical Modeling. The contributions of Professor I.I. Jumanov, Professor B.K. Khujayorov, Professor M.K. Lutfullayev, and Professor A.R. Akhatov are highly recognized in the formation and development of these schools. As a result of their research, more than 50 software products have been developed and implemented in practice.
