JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conducts a critical analysis of the availability of textbooks and teaching materials for subjects within the curricula of undergraduate and graduate programs; assesses the needs of faculties and departments for educational and methodological literature and prepares relevant proposals;
  • Submits proposals on topical issues within the field for the agendas of the Rectorate and University Council meetings and ensures the high-quality preparation of related reports and data;
  • Coordinates documents prepared by the Academic-Methodological Department in collaboration with university department heads, institute directors, and faculty deans;
  • Prepares items for the agenda of the University’s Scientific-Methodological Council meetings;
  • Organizes seminars for the heads of faculty and departmental methodological councils on academic and methodological issues;
  • Participates in the activities and meetings of the Sectoral Coordination Council of which the higher education institution is a member;
  • Develops schedules for the professional development of faculty members regarding their specialties, advanced pedagogical methods, and information technologies, and monitors their implementation;
  • Organizes the expert evaluation of educational literature (textbooks, study guides, monographs, etc.) created within the university under its academic and financial autonomy and ensures the issuance of publication permits;
  • Compiles the list of required educational literature and the publication plan for subjects included in the undergraduate and graduate curricula;
  • Conducts annual “Best Educational Literature” competitions within the university and submits the results to the Ministry;
  • Manages the provision of educational literature for undergraduate programs and associated graduate specialties;
  • Conducts the “Best Educator” competition in designated categories and submits the results to the Ministry;
  • Prepares necessary data and materials for Scientific-Methodological Councils;
  • Organizes the process of retraining and professional development for teaching and administrative staff, prepares documentation, and monitors the progress;
  • Supervises the structure and preparation of curricula and course syllabi;
  • Analyzes the alignment of distance learning content with course curricula and ensures its proper integration into the electronic platform;
  • Monitors the maintenance of academic and regulatory documentation within the university’s institutes and faculties;
  • Develops proposals through the quality control board to improve the quality of teaching and enhance the professional development of young faculty members;
  • Collaborates with university institutes, faculties, and departments to develop and submit academic regulatory documents for approval;
  • Executes instructions from the Vice-Rector and the Head of the Department regarding the academic-methodological process.
