Scientific Conference on the Tax System of the Amir Temur Era Held in Samarkand
A scientific-practical conference titled “The Tax System during the Era of Amir Temur and the Timurids – Amir Temur’s Policy for Selecting Worthy Individuals for State Administration Positions” was held in Samarkand.
This prestigious event was organized by the Tax Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Institute of History of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan, and Samarkand State University.
The conference featured presentations by Tura Turayev, Head of the Human Resources Development and Management Department of the Tax Committee; Bahriddin Zayniddinov, Chairman of the United Trade Union Committee of the Tax Committee and its subdivisions; Farrux Boboyev, Head of the Samarkand Regional Tax Department; and a number of prominent scholars.
During the event, speakers provided an in-depth analysis of Amir Temur’s principles of state governance, specifically his policy of selecting qualified personnel, his economic approaches, and his contribution to the establishment of the tax system.
Furthermore, discussions covered relevant topics such as “Foundations of Creation and Patronage in the Turan Sultanate”, “Amir Temur’s Economic Policy”, “The Education System during the Timurid Era”, “Amir Temur – Sultan of the Great Turan”, “The Role of the Tax System in Amir Temur’s State”, and the significance of the “Tuzuk-i Temuri” (The Institutes of Temur).
