INTERNATIONAL SEMINAR AT THE QUANTUM CENTER
An international seminar was held at the Quantum Center of the Institute of Engineering Physics, Samarkand State University named after Sharof Rashidov. Scientists from Russia, the USA, and Uzbekistan participated, discussing issues of quantum photonics, photonic chips, and magnetism.
The seminar was moderated by Professor Anvar Zohidov of the University of Texas (USA), an Honored Scientist of the Republic of Uzbekistan. He elaborated on the significance of quantum physics in the advancement of modern science and technology, emphasizing the particular relevance of this international seminar.
Scientists from the Moscow Quantum Center, Dmitry Chermoshentsev and Alexander Chernov, presented reports on the use of optical quantum structures and technologies for preparing quantum dots to enhance the optical properties of polyethylene films. Additionally, Zokir Shodiev, Director of the Samarkand Magnetism and Engineering Center, gave a presentation titled "Development Trends of the Samarkand Magnetism and Engineering Center."
Scholars from the University of Texas (USA), Saint Petersburg State University (Russia), Moscow State University, the ROSATOM Quantum Center, ITMO University, and Bukhara State University actively engaged in scientific debates regarding the seminar's agenda.
As part of the BIRD grant program, a training session was organized for project team members, led by Emily Ganley, a manager from the USA. She introduced participants to the technology of developing quantum dots and integrating them into window glass for electricity generation.
