Akbar Ahmedov, an Associate Professor at the Institute of Biochemistry of Samarkand State University, will conduct an internship at Utah State University (USA) from September 2025 to February 2026 under the “Fulbright Visiting Scholar” grant program.
During the visit, the scholar conducted research on the topic: “Study of the impacts of global climate change on species of the genera (Lagochilus) and (Tamarix) growing in the arid regions of Uzbekistan”. He participated in several seminars and delivered lectures.
He also took part in scientific expeditions across North American regions (Utah, Colorado, California, Arizona, and Idaho), where research materials were collected. Additionally, a joint plantation of medicinal (Lagochilus) was established in the state of Colorado.
Currently, the results of the internship are being analyzed.
