Hasan Safarkhani, Counselor of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Tashkent, visited Samarkand State University. The distinguished guest was met by the Rector of SamSU, Honored Scientist of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and Member of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, Rustam Khalmuradov.

 

The parties discussed issues of cooperation and agreed to implement joint projects based on modern scientific and technological achievements. Views were exchanged on deepening partnership in fields such as history, Persian language and culture, computer technology, artificial intelligence, mathematics, and engineering physics.

During the dialogue, negotiations were held on organizing summer and winter schools between Iranian universities and SamSU, launching exchange programs for Master’s and doctoral students, and organizing short-term internships for faculty members.

Furthermore, Hasan Safarkhani presented Professor Sadri Sadiev of the Institute of Languages and Cultures of Central Asian Peoples with an official letter of admission to the Academy of Persian Language and Literature of Iran.
