On November 20, 2025, the Times Higher Education (THE) international ranking agency released the “Interdisciplinary Science Rankings 2026”, which evaluates world universities based on interdisciplinary scientific research.

A total of 1,267 higher education institutions from 94 countries participated in this assessment.

Thirty-four higher education institutions from Uzbekistan were included in the ranking, with six of them placing in the Top 500, while the rest were designated as “reporter” status.

Samarkand State University named after Sharof Rashidov secured the 301–350 position in the “Interdisciplinary Science Rankings 2026” published by Times Higher Education.
