On November 12 of this year, a delegation led by Udom Rathamarit, a Judge of the Constitutional Court of the Kingdom of Thailand, visited Samarkand State University named after Sharof Rashidov. The distinguished guests were welcomed by Akmal Akhatov, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation, and Shuhrat Umidullaev, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs.

An official meeting was held with the university administration, attended by the Judge of the Constitutional Court, the Rector of Thammasat University, as well as the Secretary General and Deputy Secretary General of the same university.

The parties discussed in detail the issues of expanding cooperation and implementing joint projects based on modern scientific and technological achievements. Views were exchanged on deepening collaboration in fields such as jurisprudence, legal studies and education, philosophy, social sciences and humanities, as well as exact and natural sciences.

Proposals were made to establish faculty experience exchange programs in legal and other fields, implement student exchange programs for bachelor's and master's degrees, launch joint degree programs, organize summer schools, and arrange short-term internships for professors, teachers, and researchers.

At the conclusion of the visit, Judge Udom Rathamarit and the delegation members noted that the scientific potential, international activities, and quality of education at Samarkand State University are worthy of high recognition and expressed their desire to further strengthen bilateral ties in the future.
