The Rector of Bahria University, Pakistan, retired Vice Admiral Asif Halik, accompanied by the Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences of the same university, visited Samarkand State University named after Sharof Rashidov.

The delegation members were received by Rustam Khalmuradov, Rector of Samarkand State University, Honored Scientist of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and Member of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis. The meeting was also attended by the heads of the Institute of Human Resources and Community Development Management, and representatives of the Faculty of Psychology and Socio-Political Sciences.

During the meeting, discussions focused on the reforms being carried out in all areas of higher education in our country, changes in the university’s educational process and infrastructure, and achievements made within the framework of cooperation with foreign higher education institutions. The parties agreed to implement exchange programs and distance learning in the fields of economics, management, psychology, and biomedicine.

At the end of the meeting, a memorandum was signed to implement the bilateral agreements. It was agreed to jointly conduct scientific research work starting from the second half of the current academic year. Short-term scientific internships for specialists were planned for the upcoming year.
