A delegation from İnönü University (İU), an esteemed higher education institution in Turkey, visited Samarkand State University. The delegation was led by the Vice-Rector, Professor Ali Özer. The delegation also included the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Professor Mehmet Aslan, and Dr. Ahmet Turan. The purpose of the visit was to strengthen international relations in the fields of science and education.

As a result of this high-level meeting, a memorandum on academic cooperation between the two universities was signed. The signed memorandum covers a range of strategic issues aimed at increasing the global scientific engagement of both parties. These include faculty and research staff exchanges, enhanced activity in global rankings, and the implementation of joint scientific projects.

 The leadership of Samarkand State University emphasized that this strengthened cooperation with the Turkish higher education system will not only deepen cultural and educational ties between the two countries but will also serve as a foundation for the establishment of mutually recognized scientific schools in fundamental sciences such as chemistry and physics. Professor Ali Özer, Vice-Rector of İnönü University, expressed confidence that this agreement acknowledges SamDU's role as a leading scientific center in the Central Asian region and will ensure effective future collaboration.
