THE SCIENTIFIC HERITAGE OF IMAM MOTURIDI
In honor of the 1155th anniversary of the birth of Imam Moturidi, a Republican scientific-practical conference on the theme “Theological Teachings of Moturidi and the Modern Era” is being held at Samarkand State University.
The conference is attended by scholars and researchers from the International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan, the Imam Bukhari International Scientific-Research Center, the Imam Moturidi International Scientific-Research Center, the Samarkand Institute of Archaeology, the Imam Termizi International Scientific-Research Center, higher education institutions, as well as officials from the Mahdumi A'zam Dahbediy Scientific Research Foundation. The latest research findings related to the scientific heritage of Imam Moturidi were announced at the conference.











The aim of this forum is to deeply study and widely promote the scientific and spiritual heritage of Moturidi. Within this framework, a “Best Article Competition” was held with the participation of young researchers, master's students, and students from the Republic's higher education institutions and scientific research centers. Special awards from the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation were presented to the winners. Pulatova Dildora Aziz qizi, a 2nd-year student of Islamic Studies at the International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan, won first place, and Mushtaribegim Ismailova, a student from SamDU, secured second place.
On the first day of the conference, scientifically based presentations by scholars and researchers such as Shovosil Ziyodov, Director of the Imam Bukhari International Scientific-Research Center, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor; Komilkhon Kattoev, Head of the Mahdumi A'zam Dahbediy Scientific Research Foundation; Mu'minkhon Saidov, Director of the Samarkand Institute of Archaeology; Nadim Masit, Lecturer at the Institute of Turkic World Studies, Ege University; Shokir G'afforov, Professor at SamDU, Doctor of Historical Sciences; and Mukhilsa Mirzayeva, researcher at the International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan, were of great significance in understanding Moturidi's philosophy and thought.
The conference will continue its work tomorrow.
