Samarkand State University (SamSU) has been training modern, highly qualified specialists since 2019 through joint educational programs implemented in partnership with foreign universities. From 2021 to the present, approximately 40 master's students and over 150 bachelor's students have successfully completed these programs and received dual diplomas.

Recently, SamSU hosted a ceremony for awarding diplomas to graduates of the 2024–2025 academic year. Diplomas from partner universities and Samarkand State University were presented to 27 bachelor's students. The event was attended by Akmal Akhatov, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation of SamSU; Sardor Umarov, Director of the Center for International Educational Programs; faculty members, graduates, and their relatives.

Currently, the Center for International Educational Programs at SamSU collaborates with 11 universities from 8 countries, offering joint programs in 12 bachelor's and 13 master’s specializations.

“Joint programs are organized to prepare highly potential personnel essential for our country’s economy and development, as well as to achieve high quality and efficiency in modern education”, notes Sardor Umarov, Director of the Center. For the 2025–2026 academic year, the university plans to launch new joint master’s programs, including partnerships with universities ranked among the TOP-500 globally, to train specialists contributing to Uzbekistan’s future development
