On September 8, 2025, a new Master’s degree program, “Engineering Physics”, was launched at SamSU.

A unique feature of this program is that the educational process is conducted entirely in German. The program is implemented in cooperation with the Technical University of Berlin (BTU). Professors from BTU will visit Samarkand to teach engineering disciplines such as the theory of materials science, thermodynamics, energy systems, mechatronics, and modern computational methods.

Currently, SamSU students are undertaking their initial courses in the theory of materials science alongside BTU students. As BTU students are studying at SamSU within an academic exchange program, this situation not only strengthens language practice but also serves to establish personal connections.

In the future, it is planned for program participants – students – to travel to Germany for internships or to complete their Master's theses at German universities and companies.

The program is headed by Professor Valentin Leonidovich Popov from the Technical University of Berlin.
