In order to ensure employment of students, especially graduates, the "Job Fair "Career Day" was held at Samarkand State University with the involvement of employers. This important event was opened by the opening speech of the First Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of Samarkand State University Akhmadjon Soliev. Particular attention was paid to the planned activities for the employment of graduates.

    In the current academic year, out of 5,698 students with graduate status, 5,424 are currently employed. Of these, 1,683 are in public education, 128 are in secondary specialized education, 41 are in higher education, 16 are in science and research, 47 are in industrial production, 186 are in agriculture, water and forestry, 66 are in healthcare and the social sphere, 58 are in the banking, tax, insurance and financial spheres, 63 are in the prosecutor's office and internal affairs, 73 - in the service sector, 122 - in entrepreneurship, 275 - in other areas and industries, 550 - in preschool education, 25 - in military service, 217 - continue their education. 334 graduates are on maternity leave, and 1,540 are in the process of finding employment.

    The overall employment rate of university graduates is 95.2%. Of the 2,923 third-year students, 601 are currently employed. Of these, 429 (71.3%) work in their specialty, and the remaining 172 (28.7%) are in other areas and industries. The employment rate of third-year university students is 20.6%.

    Organizations of the school and preschool education system, the Samarkand State Institute of Foreign Languages, the Samarkand State Civil Engineering Institute, the Samarkand branch of the Tashkent University of Information Technologies and Mass Communications take an active part in the job fair. technologies, Samarkand branch of Tashkent State University of Economics, Samarkand Musical and Drama Theater, Samarkand City Medical Surgical Center, Samarkand Regional OUB named after A. During the event, representatives of employers directly communicated with graduates and conducted a preliminary selection of candidates. Graduates had the opportunity to closely familiarize themselves with available vacancies at enterprises and organizations in their chosen field.
