The creation of Chinese agricultural machinery technopark at Samarkand State University was discussed.

A delegation headed by Ma Jing Chun, Chairman of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Mechanization Sciences, visited Samarkand State University.
Rector of Samarkand State University, Honored Scientist of the Republic of Uzbekistan, member of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Rustam Khalmuradov met with the distinguished guests.
Issues of cooperation were discussed at the meeting. The parties exchanged views on developing joint scientific projects, sending doctoral students and young researchers for internships, and launching academic mobility programs among professors and teachers.

An agreement was reached on the establishment of a scientific center of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Mechanization Sciences at Samarkand State University. Four Samarkand State University officials will travel to Beijing to design and establish the center's operations. The main task of the center is the introduction of water-saving irrigation technologies in Uzbekistan, as well as the study of technologies developed in China for the cultivation and processing of agricultural crops.
The possibilities of establishing a Chinese agricultural machinery technopark at Samarkand State University were also discussed in detail, and preliminary agreements were reached.
For information, the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Mechanization Sciences is the oldest, largest, and most research-intensive national research institution in China. This academy includes 16 institutes. About 4 thousand professors, teachers, and employees work here. 550 of them were awarded state prizes. Scientists of the Academy have completed 2700 international patents and 1500 national projects.
