At the solemn ceremony, which was attended by members of the Academic Council of the National University of Tajikistan, professors and students, the national anthems of the two countries were played.

    Rustam Khalmuradov, Rector of Samarkand State University, Honored Scientist of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Member of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, was awarded the title of "Honorary Doctor" of the National University of Tajikistan for his services in the development of mutual friendship, cultural, educational, and scientific cooperation between Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.

    Rector of the National University of Tajikistan, Professor Emomali Nasriddinzoda Saifiddin, emphasized that thanks to the established relations with Samarkand State University, the exchange of professors, teachers, and students, scientific cooperation, and joint participation in scientific projects have been established.

    Rustam Khalmuradov expressed deep gratitude for the high attention.

    The ceremony was also attended by the Deputy Prime Minister of Tajikistan, Mansuri Dilrabo Saydullo.
