Samarkand State University faculty members organized a trip to Surkhandaryo

    On the occasion of the 120th anniversary of the trade union movement of Uzbekistan, a two-day trip to Surkhandaryo region was organized for Samarkand State University faculty members.

    As part of this visit, more than 50 faculty members of the university had the opportunity to get acquainted with the rich history and unique cultural heritage of Surkhandaryo. During the trip, they visited the most famous historical monuments, shrines and holy places of the region.

    In particular, the participants visited the mausoleum of the famous scholar and mystic Muhammad Hakim at-Termizi, the ancient Kyrgyz fortress, the Kokildor Ota Khanakohi, the Sultan Saodat complex and the ancient Fayoztepa complex. Each place has its own historical, cultural and spiritual significance and left a great impression on the SamSU tourist community.

    During the trip, not only did they get acquainted with historical monuments, but they also received extensive information about the current socio-economic life, cultural development, and tourism potential of the Surkhandarya region...
