A seminar on the theme "Historical ties between India and Uzbekistan (on the example of the Great Silk Road)" was held at Samarkand State University as part of the "Week of Indian Universities".

      The event with reports was attended by Indian professors and teachers working at Samarkand State University from India. In particular, the head of the English Department, Professor Ravinder Gargesh, in his lecture on the topic “Relations between Uzbekistan and India”, spoke about the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries and their historical roots. The role of the Babur dynasty in the history of India, the influence of the Uzbek language on the Indian language, as well as words borrowed from the Uzbek language into the Indian language were discussed.

      Also, associate professors of SamSU Mavlon Bobohanov, Kamila Makhkamova and Fazilat Sattorova shared their knowledge and experience gained at the University of English and Foreign Languages of India EFLU.

      Students were able to get answers to their questions.
