The opening ceremony of the Youth Festival under the motto "Youth of New Uzbekistan, let's unite!". The holiday began with the laying of flowers at the foot of the monuments to Amir Temur and Alisher Navoi by the mayor of Samarkand region Erkinjon Turdimov, the rector of Samarkand State University, professor, member of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Rustam Kholmurodov and leaders of a number of organizations. The opening ceremony was also attended by professors, students and members of the Writers' Union of Samarkand State University.
