The Faculty of Philology of Samarkand State University named after Sharof Rashidov hosted an international scientific and practical conference "Literary friendship - eternal friendship", dedicated to the memory of the famous literary critic Abdusalom Samedov.

    The conference was organized by the Samarkand State University, the Tajik National Cultural Center of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Turon Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

    The event was opened by the Chairman of the Primary Trade Union Committee of Samarkand State University, Professor Shavkat Makhmatmuradov. Then, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of SamSU Professor Ahmadjon Soliev, Deputy Governor of the Samarkand Region Khurshid Ochilov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdujabbor Rahmonzoda made presentations on the scientific and pedagogical activities of Abdusalom Samadov. spoke about his role in the study of the literature of the fraternal peoples.

    “Friendly relations between the Uzbek and Tajik peoples have deep roots,” said Abdujabbor Rahmonzoda, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Tajikistan to Uzbekistan. - It is no coincidence that today's conference is dedicated to the memory of Abdusalom Samadov, the founder of a large literary network of our eternal friendship. Literary friendship between peoples, like a spiritual bridge, brings our peoples closer and strengthens friendly ties, regardless of nationality, language and place of residence. Therefore, the conference is called "Literary Friendship - Eternal Friendship."
