Abbosbek Ravshanov, student of Samarkand State University: "A game in checkers is as life - everyone fights for survival..."

Abbosbek Ravshanov, a student of the Faculty of Sports and Arts of Samarkand State University, has been playing checkers for 11 years. He is a two-time world and Asian champion.
Abbosbek speaks fluent Russian. He is a member of the Uzbekistan checkers team.
“There are a lot of checkers champions in our school,” he said. When I heard this news, I became interested in checkers, -told Abbosbek Ravshanov. - My coach Amrillo Abdullayev has been training me for many years.
During my career, I remember our match with a Russian rival at the World Championships in Tashkent as the most interesting. The game was played for 5 hours. Oddly enough, the game ended as a draw. After that game, I realized that I need to work more on myself, and strengthening tactical moves is the best means to play checkers.
With the help of our coaches, we often communicate with international grandmasters and play checkers games with them. Last time we had a master class with Andrey Valyuk and Dmitry Melnikov. I'm learning a lot from them. Usually every game is a lesson. The game of checkers is as life - everyone is fighting for survival.
It doesn't take much to be successful. Successful people are people who overcome their laziness. God created us all with untapped talent. Only the person who works hard on himself and makes an effort can achieve this.
I am proud to be a student of Samarkand State University. Because our university has all the opportunities and conditions for me to study freely.
For your information, Abbosjon Ravshanov is now preparing for the World Championships in Kyrgyzstan in September. He also works as a coach at the Samarkand Children's and Youth Sports School No.2.
