A round table was held as part of the Summer School project organized by Samarkand State University and the University of Bologna, Italy

A meeting was held at the Faculty of Agrobiotechnology and Food Security of Samarkand State University named after Sharof Rashidov as part of the Summer School project, organized jointly with the University of Bologna, Italy.
The round table was opened by the dean of the faculty, associate professor Toshpulat Rajabov.
At the event, Moreno Toselli, professor at the University of Bologna, spoke about the Italian education system, innovations in agro-biotechnology and food security, as well as the Italian experience in agricultural development. According to the Italian professor, Samarkand and Bologna are in the same climatic zone, which makes the cooperation of the two universities in the field of agriculture purposeful and profitable.
“We are in Samarkand as part of a summer school project organized by our universities,” said Diana Didjoia, professor at the University of Bologna. - Samarkand State University has developed very rapidly over the past 5 years. Since our main goal is the development of the field of agrobiotechnology, I witnessed the creation of a new school in this field in Samarkand. This trend is relevant today throughout the world. I think that within the framework of our cooperation we will implement many more projects.
“Samarkand made a big impression on me,” says Zuffi Veronica, a doctoral student at the University of Bologna. - In this city, which is considered an ancient place of science, it is nice to see the attention paid to the development of science. I was especially pleased to meet the students of Samarkand State University majoring in agro-biotechnology and food security, archeology. They have a strong desire to study and learn foreign languages.
For information, Samarkand State University and the University of Bologna are planning to open a joint master's program in the field of international fruit cultivation and viticulture.
The visit of professors and students of Samarkand State University to the University of Bologna in Italy is also expected.
