On June 18, 2026, the QS international ranking agency published the results of QS World University Rankings 2027, one of the most prestigious rankings in higher education. According to the results, Samarkand State University was recognized in the range of 1001-1200, as it was in 2025.

This year, the university achieved positive results in several important indicators:

• Faculty Student Ratio: the university ranked 484th.

• Employer Reputation: in this area, the university ranked 590th.

• Academic Reputation: for this indicator, the university ranked 612th.

• International Faculty Ratio: for this indicator, it secured the 646th position.

For reference, to participate in QS World University Rankings 2027, a total of 8808 higher education institutions from 106 countries applied, out of which 1504 were included in the ranking. Among them, six universities from Uzbekistan successfully entered this ranking.

In calculating the rankings, over 21 million articles indexed in Scopus and nearly 222 million citations were analyzed. In surveys conducted by the ranking agency, 1.6 million academic experts and over 600 thousand employers participated.
