An “Open Doors Day” event was organized at Samarkand State University with the aim of attracting general secondary school graduates to higher education institutions. This “Open Doors Day” was attended by Shukhrat Umidullayev, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of the university; Samad Tolliboyev, Chief Specialist of the Academic Department; Murod Hojiyev, Head of the University’s Marketing and Student Affairs Department; Zayniddin Nuriddinov, Head of the Samarkand City Department of Preschool and School Education; and representatives of graduates from 84 general secondary schools in the city.

At the event, Toshpo‘lat Rajabov, Director of the Institute of Agrobiotechnology and Food Security of Samarkand State University; Rahmatilla Mirzayev, Dean of the Faculty of Law; Ro‘ziqul Abriyev, Dean of the Faculty of History; Ahmad Absanov, Director of the Institute of Engineering Physics, and others provided information to the school graduates about the university's scientific potential, international relations, prestige, existing laboratories, research opportunities, conditions created for applicants and students, and privileges and guarantees for supporting talented youth.

The “Open Doors Day” event concluded with an open dialogue between university officials and students, followed by a question-and-answer session.
