Regarding the inquiry submitted to the “Higher Education News and Achievements” Telegram channel, we state the following:
The undergraduate program “60420200 – State and Society Management” at Samarkand State University named after Sharof Rashidov was established for the 2024/2025 academic year in accordance with the current legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan. This program is included in the “Classifier of Higher Education Areas” approved by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation. The educational process is conducted based on state educational standards and qualification requirements developed by the Tashkent State University of Law and approved by Decree No. 218 of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation dated June 25, 2024.
According to current regulations, state higher education institutions are not required to obtain a separate license for each individual undergraduate program. Student admission is carried out within the annual admission parameters and quotas approved by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Specifically, state grant slots were approved by Presidential Decrees No. UP-81 (May 24, 2024) and No. UP-36 (July 19, 2024), while self-funded (contract) slots were coordinated with the relevant ministry.
Currently, due to the high number of students at the Faculty of Law and the insufficient physical infrastructure of its designated buildings, the “State and Society Management” program is housed within the university’s “Institute of Human Resources and Neighborhood (Mahalla) Development Management”. Under the powers of academic and financial independence, the university is authorized to develop and approve its own organizational structure (Paragraph “b” of Presidential Resolution No. PP-60 dated December 24, 2021).
The Bachelor’s diploma awarded to graduates will specify the name of the institution, the field of study, and the qualification. This diploma is recognized in the Republic of Uzbekistan and allows graduates to hold positions in accordance with the national “Classifier of Occupations and Positions”.
The “State and Society Management” program at SamSU is legally established, the educational process follows all regulations, and the state-recognized diploma serves as a legal foundation for the graduates’ future professional careers.
