The Quantum Centre at the Institute of Engineering Physics of Samarkand State University hosted a seminar on ‘Modernisation of the Quantum Centre of Sustainable Energy Systems’ under the World Bank PRIM (MUNIS) grant.
The conference included a series of lectures on modern scientific trends with the participation of leading scientists from the USA and Uzbekistan. In particular, important practical sessions were held on promising devices based on 2D-materials, quantum dots (QDs), spin-coating technologies, as well as on preparation of scientific grants, strategic planning and commercialisation of research results.
The seminar was attended by Professors Anvar Zokhidov, Juan Enrique Gonzalez and Anna Kocharova from the University of Texas in the USA, as well as Professor Sergey Safarov from Jizzak Polytechnic University. Their lectures presented the latest developments in modern quantum physics, advanced materials science and energy systems. In particular, he gave the participants clear instructions and recommendations on how to formalise their scientific ideas and implement them with the help of grant funds.
During the event, the participants discussed the development of the Quantum Centre on the basis of modern technologies, further deepening of research and development, and expansion of international cooperation.
At the end of the seminar the participants agreed to continue scientific dialogue and cooperation, as well as to develop joint projects. The seminar continues...
