A seminar was held on the topic "Translation in the Era of Globalization: A Bridge for Intercultural Dialogue."

At Samarkand State University, seminars and masterclasses were organized on the initiative of Yegorova Lyudmila Alekseevna, Candidate of Philological Sciences and Head of the Department of Linguistics at the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia.
The events, held with the participation of professors and lecturers from the Department of Foreign Languages of the Faculty of Philology at SamSU and university students, covered topics such as "Translation in the Era of Globalization as a Form of Intercultural Exchange," "Types of Translation and Their Specific Features," "Audiovisual Translation. Theatre Translation: Specific Approaches," and "Politeness as a Communicative Strategy in Intercultural Communication."
Each topic focused on not only the role of translation in linguistics but also its unparalleled importance in strengthening intercultural relations, the role of the translator as a cultural mediator, and the challenges and solutions arising in modern translation processes.
In addition, another important seminar session was held for participants of the "Foreign Language – English" program, organized by the Regional Center for Retraining and Professional Development of Pedagogical Staff under SamSU. This seminar was dedicated to the topic: "Translation as a Form of Intercultural Exchange in the Age of Globalization. The Role of the Translator in Promoting Cultural Understanding."
During the seminar, participants had the opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge of the theoretical and practical aspects of the translation process and to further strengthen their professional skills and competencies.
