Director of the Research Institute of Medicinal Plants and Herbs of Hungary Dr. Joseph Pallosh visited Samarkand State University. The main goal is to further strengthen cooperation between the Institute of Agricultural Biotechnology and Food Security of SamSU and research institutes and manufacturing enterprises in Hungary.

      Dr. Joseph Pallosh, in turn, is the head of PannonPharma, one of the leading manufacturing plants for the processing of medicinal plants in Europe. During the visit, issues of further in-depth study of the rich medicinal plants of our country using modern methods, conducting analyzes and establishing cooperation to identify the unique substances and compounds contained in them were discussed.

      It was determined to establish cooperation in the field of training qualified personnel in the field of growing and processing medicinal plants, advanced training of young researchers and students of the Institute of Agricultural Biotechnology and Food Security of Samarkand State University. At the same time, negotiations were underway on conducting internships for SamSU researchers at the Hungarian production enterprise PannonPharma. This cooperation will allow the creation and production of natural medicines recognized on a global scale, thanks to in-depth research on unique medicinal plants common in Uzbekistan.

      For reference, the Hungarian Research Institute of Medicinal Plants and Herbs has a 100-year history.
