Asadov said. - Since this morning, foreign guests began to arrive in Samarkand. In particular, our first guest, President of Mongolia Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh, has just arrived in Samarkand. Also at the same time, UN Under-Secretary-General Rosemary Di Carlo is expected to visit.
As reported, the official visit of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ibrahim Raisi, will begin today. He will arrive in Samarkand in the second half of the day, high-level talks will take place today. As a result of the meeting, it is planned to sign documents in the field of trade, cooperation, innovation, transport, energy, tourism and other areas.
Also today in the afternoon, President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping and President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadir Japarov will arrive in Samarkand.
The visit of all other guests is expected tomorrow, September 15th. Many bilateral negotiations are planned for this day. Unofficial events of the SCO summit will begin in the evening.
The main event will be held on September 16 under the chairmanship of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev at the Congress Hall in the new tourist center.
It is expected that the agenda of the Samarkand summit will be full of topical regional and global topics, and it will be followed by important decisions and documents of historical significance that will further strengthen multilateral cooperation within the SCO.
