In fact, this elephant skeleton is the only and unique exhibit in Uzbekistan. According to some unofficial data, it may be the only one in Central Asia. The elephant served for several years in the Moscow traveling circus. When the circus arrived in Karshi in 1975, the elephant died during the journey. This was announced by a student of Samarkand State University. The head of the department of zoology at that time, Professor Abdullo Sagitov, and his colleagues decided to go to Karshi to bring the skeleton of an elephant to the museum.
