Nilufar Polvonova, a student of the Faculty of Sports and Arts of Samarkand State University, is a world champion and two-time champion of Uzbekistan in hand-to-hand combat. Member of the national team of Uzbekistan.

“I have been doing this sport for five years now.” Currently, I am training under the guidance of the master of sports, world champion Nazir Muyinov, - said Nilufar Polvonova. "I love watching martial arts since I was a kid." This interest led me to take up sports. As in any endeavor, the athlete has a great responsibility. During the training process, a number of difficulties must be overcome. This requires patience, perseverance, strong will and constant support from loved ones. Every time I got injured, my parents insisted that I leave the sport. However, I cannot imagine my life without sports. I have always admired strong athletes and tried to be like them. As long as my intentions are sincere, I achieve them one by one. At the moment I have become a two-time champion of Uzbekistan. In 2019, Nargiza Narzikulova won a silver medal at the World Hand-to-Hand Fighting Championship in Belarus. We train in the same sports hall. That's what I wanted to be, to be the world champion. As a result of my work, I won a gold medal at the World Championships in Bukhara on May 19-22th. When I won in the final against a rival from Kazakhstan, I could not hold back tears of joy. When I saw the joy of my parents watching me to support me, then I had an indescribable feeling. When the National Anthem of Uzbekistan was played and our flag was raised high, I was proud that I had chosen the right sport and that I was the child of this country. This is just the beginning and I have big goals for the future. For the first time in my country, I raised the flag of our country. Now I want to raise the flag of the country around the world and protect its honor. That's why I'm always on the move...
