Sultan Umarov was born on August 24, 1908 in the current city of Khujand. In connection with the early separation from his father, he came to study in Samarkand in his youth. In 1927 he entered the Samarkand State University and successfully graduated from it. Then he worked as an assistant professor. With the knowledge gained at the university and the recommendation of his teachers, he entered the graduate school of St. Petersburg University. He successfully defended his dissertation and continued his work at Samarkand State University. In 1943, the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan was established in Tashkent. Sultan Umarov went down in history as the first academician in the field of physics. After the death of the president of the Tajik Academy of Sciences, Sadriddin Aini, in 1954, Sultan Umarov was invited to Dushanbe at the invitation of the Tajik leadership, and from 1957 until the end of his career he served as president of the Tajik Academy of Sciences.
During his life, Sultan Umarov wrote more than 170 works. Of these, 29 are devoted to physics, 12 to the history of science, two to the philosophy of science, and the rest are popular science works.
Muhammad Osimi (Asimov) - was born on August 25, 1920 in the city of Khujand. After graduating from high school, he entered Samarkand State University, graduating in 1941. After returning from the Great Patriotic War, he continued to work at the Khujand Pedagogical Institute. In 1956, the Tajik State Polytechnic Institute was established, the first rector of which was Muhammad Osimi. In 1962, he was appointed Minister of Public Education of the Republic of Tajikistan. Shortly thereafter, Muhammad Osimi was appointed president of the Tajik Academy of Sciences.
Academician Muhammad Osimi has been the president of the Academy of Sciences for 23 years, during which time he has made a worthy contribution to the development of science. After the scientist's death, Dushanbe Technical University was renamed in honor of Muhammad Osimi to perpetuate his name.
Akobir Adkhamov was born on September 4, 1928 in the city of Samarkand. After graduating from secondary school No. 22, he entered Samarkand State University, from which he graduated in 1949. In 1950 he entered the graduate school of Moscow State University. After successfully defending his dissertation, he continued his work at the Tajik State University in Dushanbe. In 1968, the scientist was elected a full member of the Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan. He is also the Scientific Secretary of the Department of Physical, Mathematical, Chemical and Geological Sciences of the Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan.
Isroil Ismailov was born on October 27, 1939 in the city of Samarkand. In 1957 he graduated from Samarkand Secondary School No. 6 and entered Samarkand State University, from which he graduated in 1962. In 1965 he began working at the Physico-Technical University named after Sultan Umarov of the Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan. In 1968 he defended his dissertation in radiophysics. During his career, Isroil Ismailov is the author of 4 monographs and more than 170 scientific monographs. Isroil Ismoilov was awarded the title of academician of the Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan in 1993 and the title of scientist of the Republic of Tajikistan in 1996.
