On October 10. 2018, a Director of Center for Indian Culture named after Lal Bahadur Shastri, Professor Chander Shekhar, met with undergraduates and students of history faculty of Samarkand State University.

  The meeting was chaired by M.G. Nasyrov, Vice-rector for international Relations of the university, who spoke about the prospects of international scientific relations with foreign partner countries, including with India. Professor Chander Shekhar shared his impressions and plans regarding development of scientific agreements in the field of improving relations between scientific staff of the university and the center he heads. A presentation was made and a report on the topic: "The history of manufacture of written sources in the Middle Ages" was heard. The director of the center, Professor Chander Shekhar, presented scientific books to active participants of the meeting.
