Rector of Samarkand State University, an honorable scholar of the Republic of Uzbekistan, member of the Senate of Oliy Majlis Rustam Khalmuradov met with Vice Chancellor of Texas University, Professor Juan Enrique Gonzalez.

    The American scientist was accompanied by Anvar Zokhidov, an honorable scholar of Uzbekistan.

    During the conversation, the sides discussed issues of cooperation development, implementation of joint projects, as well as organisation of academic exchange programmes. In particular, they agreed to organise exchange of faculty and students, hold joint seminars and conferences, prepare joint scientific articles.

    It is also planned to hold short-term courses at Samarkand State University for students of the University of Texas, to develop joint educational programmes of double diplomas, to organise internships.

    At the end of the meeting, a cooperation agreement was signed between Samarkand State University and the University of Texas.
