Temur Yusupov, director of the biolaboratory of the Institute of Agrobiotechnologies and Food Safety of the SamSU, candidate of biological sciences, took part in the regular meeting of the European and Mediterranean Plant Protection Organization (EPPO) in Tashkent.

      At this conference, the scientist made a presentation on research work and plans for the future, carried out today at SamSU in the field of plant protection.

      This meeting, held for the first time in Uzbekistan, was attended by specialists in quarantine and plant protection from more than 20 countries of the world. The main topic of the meeting is focused on the creation of unified standards of phytosanitary safety in agriculture.

      For information, the European and Mediterranean Plant Protection Organization is involved in the development of international standards for the control and prevention of the spread of pests and diseases in agriculture and forestry around the world.
