A meeting was held at Samarkand State University within the framework of the week "100 Women Inventors of the Region". It was attended by the deputy khokim of the region, the head of the family and women department Zebiniso Rakhmonova, the first vice-rector of Samarkand State University for youth and spiritual and educational work Shahzoda Negmatova, as well as the community of women inventors and scientists of SamSU.
At the event, the deputy khokim of the region, head of the family and women department Zebiniso Rahmonova spoke about the activities of women who have been actively involved in recent years in the field of science and innovation, which have received public recognition thanks to new inventions and start-up projects. Noting that women, who have an increasingly strong place in society, must take their place in science, he noted that the week of "100 Women Inventors of the Region" is an important step in this direction.
“Each achievement in the field of science and innovation, each invention serves the development of not only a person, but also the state and society,” says the First Vice-Rector of SamSU for Youth and Spiritual and Educational Work Shahzoda Negmatova. - Such activities are important for strengthening the position of women in this area. Currently, 296 women professors work at Samarkand State University, including 6 doctors of science, 54 candidates of science, 43 doctors of philosophy, 4 professors of the department. Innovative projects and ideas developed in recent years by SamSU scientists, proposals do not leave indifferent the public of the republic. Of the 100 participating women inventors, 15 are women scientists and students of Samarkand State University.
Also during the event, training and seminars were organized on the procedures for obtaining titles of protection for intellectual property objects, where women inventors were given explanations on the issues of registering intellectual property objects and obtaining patents. Then the roundtable participants discussed ideas and proposals for supporting the activities of women inventors and entrepreneurs, patenting, and promoting their products to foreign markets.
