Today, young people engaged in scientific research receive special recognition for their place and voice in our society. Including young people who are engaged in entrepreneurship and earn their own money. So, which of these two categories of youth will bring more benefit to society? To this question, someone can say: "Of course, young people who are engaged in science," and someone can say: "Tomorrow is in the hands of entrepreneurs." But what if a student is simultaneously engaged in scientific research and entrepreneurship?!

Yulduz Ochilova is a student of the biological faculty of Samarkand State University. This year, in order to conduct scientific research on the maintenance of multiple crops and increase yields, she rented a plot from the SamSU Botanical Garden and planted cucumbers. Then she slightly expanded the plot allocated to her and began to grow cucumbers in a large area. Yulduz has collected more than half a ton so far and supplies quality and affordable cucumbers for public consumption.

    - This work is a form of scientific research and entrepreneurship, - says Yulduz Ochilova. - At a time when the main task is to use the plot of the SamSU Botanical Garden, this study deserves many praises. To date, we have collected more than 500 kg of cucumber cultivars. I earned my income by selling them in the markets and grocery stores at a certain price. Now, under the guidance of my mentors, head of the Department of Botany, Associate Professor Hyslat Khaydarov and Boston Islamov, I am working on increasing the yield of cucumbers and at the same time studying methods of breeding ornamental trees such as spruce, pine and chestnut.
