The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) implements the IAEA Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellowship Programme (MSCFP), which aims to encourage women to pursue education and professional careers in nuclear science and technology, as well as to promote gender balance in the field.

Under the programme, fellowships are offered to female students wishing to pursue master’s degree programmes in nuclear-related fields during the 2026/2027 and 2027/2028 academic years.

The programme provides opportunities to:

  • pursue master’s degree programmes related to nuclear science and technology;
  • develop knowledge and professional skills in the field of nuclear science and technology;
  • gain the academic training necessary for future professional careers in nuclear energy and nuclear technologies.

Nominations for the 2026 fellowship programme are open from 1 September to 31 October 2026.

Female students interested in pursuing a master’s degree in nuclear science, technology or nuclear energy and planning to build their future professional careers in this field are invited to apply for the IAEA Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellowship Programme.
