UNESCO and the Government of the People's Republic of China (PRC) are pleased to announce the “The Great Wall” Fellowship Programme for the 2026/2027 academic year. This program provides opportunities for one-year advanced studies and research at leading Chinese higher education institutions.

    Available Programs & Age Limits:

• Master’s Degree Programs – up to 35 years old;

• Doctoral (PhD) Programs – up to 40 years old;

• General Scholar Programs (Research) – up to 45 years old;

• Senior Scholar Programs (Advanced Research) – up to 50 years old.

    Fellowship Benefits:

    The scholarship is fully funded, covering international airfare, tuition fees, and living expenses in China, jointly provided by UNESCO and the Government of the PRC.

    Candidate Requirements:

1. Hold a Master’s degree (a Bachelor’s degree may be accepted in specific fields);

2. High proficiency in English (certified);

3. Commitment to long-term professional cooperation with the home university.

    Required Documents (2 sets):

• Online application form submitted via www.csc.edu.cn/studyinchina (http://www.csc.edu.cn/studyinchina);

• Notarized English translation of diplomas and academic transcripts;

• Admission/Invitation letter from a Chinese university (if available);

• Two letters of recommendation from professors (in English);

• Detailed Research/Study Plan (minimum 500 words, in English);

• English proficiency certificate (IELTS/TOEFL);

• Foreigner Physical Examination Form (Medical certificate).

    Application Deadline:

    Our university will select and nominate 2 candidates for the program. Please submit all required documents (along with a draft letter from the Rector) to the Department of International Cooperation and Ratings no later than January 28th.
