Dear Students and Young Scholars!

We are pleased to announce the opening of applications for the prestigious Heydar Aliyev International Education Grant Program for the 2026/2027 academic year. This grant offers a unique opportunity to receive high-quality education at the leading higher education institutions of the Republic of Azerbaijan with full state financial support.

The program covers all key expenses, allowing students to focus entirely on their studies and research:

• Tuition Fees: 100% coverage of tuition and language preparatory course;

• Transportation: Annual economy-class round-trip airfare to Azerbaijan;

• Stipend: A monthly allowance of 800 AZN (470 USD) for 10 months per year;

• Social Package: Annual medical insurance (200 AZN), visa fees, and temporary residence permit (TRP) coverage.

The program is open to candidates pursuing Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctoral degrees:

• Academic Excellence: A minimum GPA of 70/100 or 7/10 (or equivalent);

• Age restrictions (as of Sept 15, 2026):

- Bachelor’s / General Medicine: up to 35 years;

- Master’s / Residency: up to 40 years;

- PhD / Doctoral studies: up to 45 years.

• Language Requirements: For English-taught programs: IELTS (5.0–5.5) or TOEFL (40–50). For programs in Russian or Turkish: proof of proficiency is required.

Application Procedure:

The selection process consists of two stages:

1. National Stage (February 16 – April 15, 2026): Submit documents to the relevant government authorities of your home country (Ministry of Education, Embassy or Higher education institutions) to obtain an official nomination.

2. Registration Stage (May 18 – June 1, 2026): Nominated candidates must register on the Azerbaijani state portal SIACAS (portal.edu.az) https://studyinazerbaijan.edu.az.

Note: The grant is only awarded to candidates who have received an official nomination from their home country.
