Xi’an Jiaotong University invites postgraduate students of the University to participate in the international track of the China Postgraduate Mathematical Contest in Modeling – CPMCM – UASR International Track.

The China Postgraduate Mathematical Contest in Modeling (CPMCM) is one of the key events of the national China Postgraduate Innovation and Practice Competitions (CPIPC). The competition is organized by the Association of Chinese Graduate Education (ACGE) under the guidance of the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China (MOE).

The competition has been held since 2003 and has brought together more than 600,000 postgraduate students over the years, providing young researchers with opportunities to apply mathematical methods to practical and scientific problems.

In 2026, the competition is organized by Xi’an Jiaotong University (XJTU). Given its role as the Secretariat of the University Alliance of the Silk Road (UASR) and its extensive network of international partnerships, the University is launching a special international track – CPMCM – UASR International Track.

The international track focuses on applying mathematical modeling methods to real-world practical problems. Particular emphasis is placed on creativity, teamwork, applied research, and the development of innovative thinking.

Participation in the competition will enable young researchers to:

  • apply mathematical methods to address relevant practical problems;
  • develop mathematical modeling and applied analysis skills;
  • strengthen their research and analytical competencies;
  • work in an international academic environment and as part of a team;
  • demonstrate their ability to develop scientific and innovative solutions to real-world problems.

Postgraduate students interested in mathematical modeling, applied research, innovation, and interdisciplinary academic cooperation are invited to participate.
