By the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. F–43 dated July 18, 2025, “On approval of the state order parameters for admission to state higher education institutions”, 30 state scholarships have been allocated for young compatriots residing abroad who wish to study in the fields of Uzbek language and literature, history, culture, art, and handicrafts.

    Sharof Rashidov Samarkand State University announces admission for the 2025/2026 academic year to state scholarships (full-time study program) for young compatriots residing abroad who wish to pursue studies in Uzbek language and literature, history, culture, art, and handicrafts. Admission is carried out in accordance with the protocol of the State Commission on Admission to Educational Institutions of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 72-4 dated August 16, 2024.

    Eligibility requirements for candidates to participate in the scholarship competition for compatriots:

  • Based on identity documents, the applicant or his/her parents or grandparents must be:

  • a foreign citizen or stateless person identifying themselves as Uzbek or Karakalpak by ethnic, linguistic, and cultural-historical affiliation;

  • or a foreign citizen or stateless person born and previously residing in Uzbekistan, but currently permanently residing abroad.

  • Must register as an applicant in one of the bachelor’s degree programs approved by the State Commission and be recommended for admission based on the interview results.

  • Must be under 30 years old.

  • Proficiency in the Uzbek language is mandatory.

    Applications are accepted until October 10, 2025.
