Eshbo‘riyev Umarbek Rashidovich
Umarbek Eshbo‘riyev is a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Economics and Associate Professor. He defended his PhD dissertation in economics on the topic: “Effective Economic Mechanisms for the Development of Labor Supply and Demand in the Labor Market.”
Since 2026, he has been serving as the Head of the Department of Sectoral Economics at Samarkand State University named after Sharof Rashidov. During his academic career, he has authored more than 30 scientific and methodological works, including textbooks, teaching manuals, and scientific publications in international and national journals.
He has participated in international and republican scientific-practical conferences with his theses.

The Department of Network Economics at Samarkand State University was established in 1927 under the name of the Department of "Social and Economic Sciences". Since 1949, it began to function as an independent department under the name "Political Economy". As the first head of the chair, Associate Professor K.A. Pogrebinskaya made a great contribution to its formation and development. |

Since 1991, the department functioned under the name "Economic Theory". In 1993-2007 the department was headed by Doctor of Economics, Professor E.A. Alikulov. In 2012-2017 the chair was headed by candidate of economic sciences, associate professor B.M. Bobokulov, in 2017-2018 candidate of economic sciences, associate professor D.A. Nasimov. D.A. Nasimov. In 2018-2020 the department was headed by Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), associate professor I.I. Ergashev. Since 2020 the head of the department is candidate of economic sciences, associate professor A.N. Nizamov. Today in the department of 11.5 staff units, there are 14 professors and teachers. The scientific potential of the department in 2018 was 50.0 percent. In the 2019-2020 academic year, the department trained 7 second-year master's students and 14 first-year master's students in Economic Theory. Also in the doctoral program in the specialty "Economic Theory" are trained 3 basic doctoral students. During the years of independence B.M. Bobokulov, R. Seytmuratov, F. Niyazov, H. Hambarsumyan, L. Khalikova, S. Yuldoshev, S. Alibekova, B. Turaev, Sh. Kuvandikov, D. Nasimov defended their PhD thesis on the general scientific direction of the department. In 2011, B. Turaev and in 2017 M. Alimova successfully defended their doctoral dissertations. In 2018 I.I. Ergashev defended his PhD thesis on economics. The topics and scientific directions of the defended dissertation are related to the scientific direction of the department and are aimed at solving the most pressing problems of the economy of our country. |
