About the Department of Romance and Germanic Languages The Department of Romance-Germanic Languages was created in 1963 under the leadership of Associate Professor A. Kiltnova and Associate Professor T. Imomnazarov. Professors B. Tursunov, M. Kholbekov, associate professors A. Nurmukhammedov, A. Narzukulov, Mamatkhanova, A. Eshonkulov, and B. Velmyshev were in charge and worked in the department. Also in the field of philology were headed by professors N. Turnizov, I. Mirzaev, A. Mamatov, doctors of philological sciences who were in higher positions with their mature scientific potential, and in later periods worked Professor M. Begmatov, associate professors G. Ataeva, A. Khasanov. Now in the department scientific and pedagogical activity are engaged 1 professor, 2 (PhD) teachers, 3 senior lecturers and 9 assistant teachers. The results of research work carried out at the department have been published in prestigious publications of foreign countries such as Russia, USA, Ukraine, Africa, Poland and Kazakhstan. In addition to scientific works, the staff of the department published more than fifty textbooks, educational and methodical manuals in German, French and Latin.
