He has worked at the Department of Optics and Spectroscopy of the Institute of Engineering Physics, SamSU, since 2009. In 2021 he defended his PhD dissertation on the topic “Proton-donor and proton-acceptor properties of aromatic hydrocarbons and their manifestation in Raman scattering spectra”. Since 2021 he has been Head of the Department of Optics at Samarkand State University.

Since 2023 he has also worked at the Department of Optics and Spectroscopy of the Institute of Engineering Physics, SamSU. Abduvakhid Jumabayev Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, professor. Has worked at the Department of Optics and Spectroscopy of the Institute of Engineering Physics, SamSU, since 1973. In 1982 he defended his candidate dissertation on the topic "Study of the structure and shape of the wing of the Rayleigh and Raman light scattering line of low-viscosity liquids and solutions", and in 1993 his doctoral dissertation on the topic “Study of molecular relaxation processes in condensed media using Rayleigh and Raman scattering spectra”. Over the course of his career, he has authored 3 monographs, 3 textbooks and 7 teaching and methodological manuals. He has also published more than 250 scientific articles and abstracts to date.
