In 2020, Shokhista Khamrokulova received her Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Historical Sciences on "The Contribution of the Uzbeks of Kazakhstan to the Development of Republican Science and Culture (1925-2015)." During her career, she has published 1 monograph, 2 textbooks and more than 30 scientific articles. Also, 2 articles were published in Scopus databases.

Candidate of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor. Since 1973 he has been working at the Department of World History. In 1983 he successfully defended his Ph.D. thesis on "The use of parliamentary and extra-parliamentary methods of struggle in the revolutionary activities of Karl Liebknecht."

To date, he is the author of more than 50 scientific papers, including 2 textbooks, 5 monographs, about 10 brochures and more than 30 articles.

 

Rakhmatullaev Mustafo Rakhmatullaevich

Candidate of Historical Sciences. Since 1973 he has been working at the Department of World History. In 1991 he successfully defended his dissertation on the topic "Problems of Uzbek Culture Development in Historical Literature (60-80 years of the 20th century)".

Under the authorship of Mustafa Rakhmatullaev had been published more than 40 scientific works. In particular, there are 2 textbooks, 2 monographs, 4 brochures and more than 30 scientific articles.

 

Khoshimova Mukaddas Murodkhonovna

Candidate of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor. She has been working at the Department of World History at Samara State University since 1998. In 2004 she defended her PhD thesis on the topic "History of the North Caucasian peoples deported to Central Asia in the middle of the twentieth century (using the example of the Republic of Kazakhstan)".

Over her career Mukaddas Khoshimova has published more than 10 monographs, teaching aids, about 20 scientific and popular science articles.

Usarov Sirozhiddin Rakhmatullaevich

Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in History. He began working at the Department of World History in 2007. In 2021 Sirojiddin Usarov received his PhD in History on the topic "History of formation and development of interstate cooperation between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the countries of the Asia-Pacific region (on the example of Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore)".

Sirojiddin Usarov has published about 40 scientific works during his career. Including 2 textbooks, 4 brochures, 4 methodological manuals and about 30 scientific articles.

Rashidova Feruza Shomuhamedovna

Since 2006 she has been working at the Department of World History at Samarkand State University. In 2019 she received her PhD in Historical Sciences on "The contribution of foreign investment in the formation and development of young business and private entrepreneurship in Uzbekistan (historical approach)".

To date, Feruza Rashidova has published more than 30 scientific works. In particular, there is 1 monograph, 1 textbook and about 30 scientific articles.

Pirimkulova Saodat Shodmonkulovna

Assistant at the Department of World History, Samarkand State University. Since 2009 she has been working at the Department of World History. She has conducted scientific research on the topic "The question of children who were transported to Uzbekistan during World War II". Under the authorship of Saodat Pirimkulova she has published about 20 scientific works.

Assistant of the Department of World History at Samarkand State University. Since 2018 has been working at the Department of World History at Samarkand State University. He conducts scientific research on "The role of Amir Temur in the history of the European Renaissance".

Lochin Elimov has published more than 10 scientific works.

Davronov Kholbek Zokirovich

Assistant at the Department of World History, Samarkand State University. Since 2020 he has been working at the Department of World History at Samarkand State University. Conducts scientific research on "The coverage of socio-political and ethno-cultural processes in the Central Asian khanates in the works of Ottoman ambassadors and tourists".

In total, about 10 scientific works by Kholbek Davronov have been published in prestigious international and national journals.

About the Department of World History

The Department of World History is one of the oldest departments of Samarkand State University. This is one of the first 12 departments of the Higher Pedagogical Institute, established in 1927 and functioning on a par with our university. Since 1927, the department has been headed by the following professors:

Since September 1938, the department has been divided into two parts:

  • Head of the Department of Ancient and Medieval History - G. I. Sovetsky;
  • Head of the Department of Modern History - prof. V. E. Favorsky;
  • Acting Head of the Department of Modern History - Assoc. A. Vakhidov (1940);
  • In 1940, both departments merged again and became known as the Department of General History.

In 2009-2012 the department was headed by Associate Professor B. Turakulov. From 2012 to 2018 the department was headed by Associate Professor M. Khoshimova. From 2018 to the present day it is headed by Sh. Khamrokulova. Currently, there are 12 professors and teachers working in the department.

International cooperation: Since the creation of the department its staff regularly went on scientific missions to universities in foreign countries. This tradition continues today.

In 2021, a senior research fellow of the Institute of General History of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor A.S. Namozova held 20 hours of elective classes for History Department students on "Small countries of Europe". Along with this, Professor Nargis Nurulla-Khojaeva was hired at the Department of World History in 2021-2022 academic year by 0.25 staff units, and in 2022-2023 academic year by 0.5 staff units. Nargis Nurulla-Khojaeva currently teaches students of the History Department "History of International Relations and Diplomacy" and "New History.

  Researchers at the Department of General History at Samarkand State University conduct research on the "Socio-Economic, Political and Cultural History of Countries and Peoples of the World".
