Biography

In 1979 he was born in Bulungur district of Samarkand region.

In 1997 he graduated from secondary school №31 of Bulungur district of Samarkand region.

In 1998-2002 he was a student of the Geography Faculty of Samarkand State University.

In 2002-2004 he was a master student of the Department of Physical Geography of Samarkand State University.

In 2005, thanks to the efforts of the university administration and the dean's office of the Faculty of Geography, a bachelor's degree in hydrometeorology was opened. To open this direction and improve the quality of teaching special subjects in 2007, the Academic Council of SamSU decided to open a new department at the department of geography, and in August 2007 it was decided to open a department. Since the opening of the department until 2011, it was headed by Professor S. B. Abbasov. From February 2011 until the end of the year, the department was headed by prof. Abdulkasimov A.A., in 2011-2016 the department was headed by Yarashev K.S. From November 16, 2016 to June 2020, the head of the department was Professor Sh.T. Khalikulov. Today the department is headed by Associate Professor S.A. Khaidarov.

Initially, 8 people were admitted to the bachelor's degree in hydrometeorology, but later this number increased to 25, and, accordingly, the volume of teaching hours of the department increased. Since 2009, the department has a master's degree in land hydrology.

Since 2017, the department has a doctorate at 11.00.03-Land Hydrology. Water resources. Hydrochemistry. Currently, 3 doctoral students are conducting research at the department.

In a short period of time since the creation of the department, today more than 230 people have a bachelor's degree and more than 40 people have a master's degree, working in various fields of our country.

On the basis of the new State educational standards, the department prepares bachelors in the areas of 5140700-hydrometeorology, 5140800-geology (by areas of activity), 5A141101 - masters of hydrology (by subjects of study).

The friendly team of the Department of Hydrometeorology, which correctly understands the idea of independence, continues to do a great job of teaching students at the level of modern requirements, educating them as versatile, versatile people, mature professionals.
