    The Department of English of Samarkand State University was established in 1962, and today 1 professor, 1 associate professor, 1 doctor of science, and 4 candidates of science are working in this department.

    Professor Ravindir Gargesh from India also gives lectures to students on the basics of linguistics in our department.

    To date, 10 monographs, 50 educational and teaching-methodical manuals, 3 textbooks have been published by the teachers of the department.
