One of the unique monuments of the Stone Age discovered in the Samarkand region is the site of Zirabulok. The Zirabulok discovery site is located in the foothills of the Ziyavuddin mountains, in the area of the spring of the same name, 1.5 km east of Kotirbulok, at an altitude of 475 m above sea level. The monument was excavated in 1972, 1978 and 1984 by Nemat Toshkenboev, associate professor at Samarkand State University. Three pits have been excavated on the territory of the monument. However, full information about the monument has not been published, it is only said that the cultural layers were destroyed in the Middle Ages. According to the archaeologist L. Vishnyasky, the information about Zirabulok, the stone products of Zirabulok are similar to the materials of the classical monuments of Western Europe. In both studies mentioned above, it was established that it is similar to the materials found in Zirabulok and Kotyrbulka, and chronologically synchronous with it, i.e., it belongs to the Musten period. However, in the studies conducted by archaeologist Bakhtiyor Saifullaev, according to the technique of making stone products, the monument was divided into Middle Paleolithic, Late Paleolithic and Mesolithic complexes.
